BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SCENE: Sam and Dean are searching local newspaper database records for information about an old death in town. The first few searches yield no results, but one final change of search terms finally gives them an answer.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Sam and Dean drive around the country solving local mysteries, most often involving figures from horror stories. Their itinerant lifestyle often leads them to researching in the library. In this case, they've been told that several recent deaths are very similar to a much older one, so they're trying to find the original case.

LEGAL CONCEPT OR RESEARCH TECHNIQUE CLIP ILLUSTRATES: There's more to searching than just entering some search terms -- computers are dumb, which means you have to put in the right search terms or you won't get any results. If one search doesn't yield any results, try another one. It's also important to make sure you understand the question itself; are you not getting any hits because you're framing the question incorrectly?
